Opera Mini 4 Beta Mobile Browser Now Available

Opera announced the launch of the beta version of the Opera Mini 4 mobile browser solution. The browser will work with all Java-enabled mobile phones, and is a complete redesign of the web browser. The new overview mode featured in the browser claims to "empower people to browse their favorite websites, just like they do on their PC."

Opera Mini 4 claims to be twice as fast as any other mobile browser, and has innovative features such as "zoom". The browser works by using a remote server to pre-process web pages before sending them to your phone, where web content is then compressed to reduce the size of the data transferred, thus creating fast browsing at lower costs.
