Topical Theme:
A topical theme is based on some sort of current news story or event. So if you are selling something that changes with the news... investments... then a topical theme will probably be perfect.
Your lead in this case is going to be based around that news story and how it affects the prospect... so they eventually have to buy your product. A good example of this would be a health story. All the supplements on the market that have that nutrient are going to be putting out promotions based on this new news.
Resident Emotion Theme:
This theme is all about your prospect. What are they feeling right now about your products benefits? For example... if you are selling a hair loss product, what do people who struggle with hair loss feel right now?
Desperation and lack of confidence might be good choices
So if you are using the prospects resident emotion, you'll have to really tap into that in the lead and get that prospect shaking their head... yes, yes yes!
Ambassador Theme:
If you have a strong inventor or seller behind your product or service, then you can use the ambassador theme. A perfect example of this would be Tiger Woods and the Lasik eye surgery. Lasik has the perfect ambassador who people look up to a just.
They don't really expand on Tiger's story, but they do mention that he has used it more than once and because of his surgery... he wins more! That makes me want it. I want to win more and more important see better.
If Lasik were to write a sales letter for there eye surgery, a perfect lead would be an in-depth story of Tiger and how it helped him win more.
I only went over three themes in this article, but you can see that it's really important to know what you want your copy based on. Then you want to use that idea and tie it into the lead you'll use. I will go over different types of leads you can use soon. |
