People today expect more and more from products that they purchase, and televisions are no exception.  Only a few decades ago many were still watching black and white televisions with a very poor picture quality.  Advancements in TV technology have been incredibly fast, now that High Definition is becoming readily available; consumers need screens that can display the enhanced picture quality. There are several kinds of screens fit for HD purposes, and LCD (Liquid Crystal display) screens are among the most practical and popular.  Although several kinds of LCD technology exist, they are based around a certain principle.  Liquid crystals, which are rod shaped molecules, can flow like liquid and bend light to create an appearance of different shades.  These are sandwiched between sheets of polarizing material and bright light is shone through them at varying angles from behind.  Thousands of transistors make up the glass substrate of LCD panels.  These are placed in horizontal and vertical rows and can be used to energise the pixels in certain locations.  An energised crystal will redirect light to be absorbed in one polarizer, showing the dark appearance of crossed polarisers. When not energised, crystals pass light through a couple of polarizing filters, which allows natural background colour to show.  This may sound complicated, but what it basically means is that each crystal acts in a shutter like fashion – either allowing or blocking the passage of light.  All this technology certainly inspires the proper care of LCD screens and explains the variety of uses that they have.   LCD screens have an advantage over some others as they can be made in a wider variety of sizes.  For example, plasma screen televisions are not really economically viable to produce under the size of 32inches.  This means LCD screens can have a wider range of applications, whether it be in a family home, affixed in the living room using LCD wall brackets, or in an office, bank, shopping centre or supermarket.  Where ever LCD screen technology is used, viewers can expect excellent contrast, high brightness and clarity of image that is easy to view.  As LCD televisions are slim and lack the bulk of more conventional TVs they can easily be wall mounted.  In order to attach these expensive pieces of technology to the wall safely, proper LCD wall brackets are of course a must!  Once secured properly, a large television can create an amazing cinematic effect within a normal home, especially when coupled with good quality surround sound.  They are also out of the way of household traffic and take up much less room than they would if on a television stand on the ground.  Smaller televisions can be easily fitted in kitchens, children’s bedrooms and many other locations using appropriate LCD wall brackets.  Having a television above ground level does not necessarily have to mean they are placed on a flat piece of wall.  LCD wall brackets and attachments are available to be fitted in corners and other convenient locations.  Many LCD wall brackets designed for these purposes can tilt, rotate, swing and/or swivel.  The purpose of these products is to allow  optimum viewing  position and location, so there are many kinds available.  Once a LCD TV is safely secured using LCD wall brackets, families can sit back and enjoy amazing HD picture quality and look forward to further availability of HD material to watch.
